Hi there, for a few months now I've been making progress towards putting a jago geep body onto a Suzuki sj chassis for a true 4x4

Here's what I've done so far

Well I bought a Suzuki sj413

Image

And a jago

Image

Removed the sj body

Image

Sat the jago body on to realise I had issues with sizes

Image

So I made a fibreglass mould of the side panel on each side

Image

Image

Cut the body and clamped the mould to the outside to then be able to lay my fibreglass against it
In total I extended the body by 90mm so no the front grill covers the sj steering box

I had some dihatsu wheels banded and reused the jago tyres

Image

I put in a new floor to better suit the sj chassis

Image

Getting confident with my fibreglass skills I made some light pods

Image

Image

Image

The sj was also wider so I had to widen my jago wings too

Image

Started to look at body mounts

Image

Image

Image

Because of the way I cut the sj body I had to extend the center tunnel

Image

I then had to start looking at mounting steering and pedals to a flexible body so made a metal frame to suit

Image

Image

Image

I had to modify the sj pedal box to better angle the servo

Image

Image

Made a mount for my throttle pedal

Image

Image

I then made up a whole new bulkhead to better suit the sj setup

Image

Made a clutch cable housing. And glassed it in

That's as far as I've got so far hopefully if people are interested I'll keep this updated

Really nice job.

It might not be the most practical if off roading it, but very nice work.

Keep us posted.

Excellent work, very impressed. The wheels and tyres really set it all off. Your cameraman seemed surprised you kept reappearing round those corners.
That looked a nice SJ you started with - if you plan to sell any body & trim bits can you let me know?
