I need more ground clearance on my jimny ,i know little or nothing about off road hardware .
can i just put bigger wheels / tyres on ?

They won't take a much bigger tyre without clearance and gearing issues. If its the sills that are the problem then a small (2") will make a good difference, you can combine that with some 215/75s to gain a little more under the diffs.
