ecu question

i need a replacement ecu for my vitara, just wondering if numbers need to be exact same as i thought they would of need to be but someone mentioned to me that aslong as there somewhere near it should still work, just wondering if this is true or there just gettig me to buy their ecu

You can use a 56B80 and you probably won't notice the difference, they are from the auto though and are even less common than a good B70 these days. A B80 can also be reconfigured to a B70 if you can solder.

someone did get back to me when i was looking for an ecu with this one but wasnt sure if would work as different numbers, also as i saw in my other post you repair ecus just wondering how much it might roughly cost for it to be repaired if possible?

I've got an ecu in the garage. I'll check the model numbers and if it's ok you can have it

ECU repair is typically £45 plus return shipping.
