ecu issues
ecu issues
i had a problem with my vitara which at the moment im managed to bypass as a temp fix, my problem was my car cut out randomly and wasnt letting fuel into injector when i checked everything i found out my ecu had dropped the signal to injector so the ecu was thinking the throttle was open which i found out why it wasnt letting fuel in, so ive cut the positive as it comes out of injector into the plug and given it a live from the ignition coil as it pulses down the negative, this is just a temp fix but what i was wanting to know was if there is chance of the ecu been repaired or if id need another ecu and if it would need to be the exact same numbers as someone told me they have used ecus with different numbers and it had worked. cheers

Re: ecu issues
If you keep checking back Rhinoman will probably comment on this issue. I'm sure he will be able to repair it or advise what best to do.

Re: ecu issues
Bypassing the positive feed is a bad idea because the ECU switches the positive wire to control the current through the injector. Your fuelling must be all over the place. I repair ECUs, PM me for details or email me at sales@rhinopower.org.
