Hi All,
My names Nick but everyone calls me Derik. Im from Wootton Bassett, just outside Swindon. Had my little SJ a couple of months now and having lots of fun on the lanes.

So within the first 3 weeks of having my SJ the carb gave up and after a couple of re-build attempts I drop kicked it over the back fence and got myself an SU. ( Best £100 Ive ever spent )

It came with most of the mods, Winch, Roll cage, Bucket seats, Lift shackles, The most chavvy snorkel, which was my first fix, and a square steering wheel???

Already found some great info on the site, thanks guys, and im sure to need much more of it.

Hi there, welcome
Nice looking zook. Great info here. It didnt take long before i fitted an su carb too as the standard carb gave up.
I like the lil storage box in the engine bay and the way the winch has been fitted still keeping the original bumper.
Smart.
Dan

Hi guys,
Thanks for the warm welcome.
Yes I've heard how bad the shackles are but they will have to wait until I can afford a decent lift, then bigger wheels!
Your right Donkeychomp, I changed the steering wheel a couple of weeks ago for the round one pictured lol
The bumper and winch where on it when I got her but the ends are quite rotten so going to have a go at making some new bumpers when I get some free time.
Nice to see a fellow Bassettier, I'm sure to need some help so nice to know there are some locals.
