well seems to be a bit of work in this vit so might as well share the experience
well when I got it some one had bumped the front and smashed up the bumper no biggie as I planned to replace it with something a bit more off road anyway as you've seen theres a little rust in her especially at the front but over all its not to bad nick made a start with flap disc then red oxide

brakes and suspension are in pretty bad shape so some new bits going in here including ludicrously expensive wishbones!

Coming on nicely.
What made you go for brand new wishbones? I'm sure you could have got some good ones for a fraction on the price second hand.
Lucky with the wire, about and inch left. I'd get a 5kg 0.6 and 0.8 on order, a bit for stock.
Crack on, and you can't have too many pics. We all like pics

cheers guys
thought it was jus better to bite the bullet with the wish bones second hand ones never going to be great especially with rust already present at least with these I can give em a nice coat of paint and waxoil the insides and can be sure their gonna be good for as long as i've got it anyway
I use 0.8 don't bother with 0.6 cos I don't weld thin stuff very often and cant be bothered swapping over
that's why its all stitch welded

You'll have it all welded up and sorted before you know it!! not sure I've ever seen so much rust under the front of a vit
are you by the sea or is there just loads of salt used on the roads up where you are in the winter?

not sure to be honest bought it over in fife and it wasn't right on the coast, was owned by a woman who used it to transport her trials bike around about once a month where it was before that I dunno but I wish they'd hosed underneath now and then!
