After months and months of looking for my ideal SJ i have finally got one!!!
Bought it off carnut, although I didnt meet him his family were a great help, pushing it on the trailer etc etc A big thanks to you all
We took a steady plod home as the zuk didnt really fit the trailer (we had to take the mudguards off )
Its absolute brilliant, havent had it out for a long run but so far so good
We have a few problems that need sorting out asap,
1.The waterpump is knackered so will need replacing as its squeeling when started, although its not all the time and didnt do it when we were down there:?:
2.Need to sort out the rear door lock and handle assembly as it doesnt work
3.build a box for storing recovery equipment etc etc
4. A new grill as the one on there has been cut up
5. Power steering!!!
6. New/second hand(but good condition) soft top
7. Modify the seats as my large upper body is a little uncomfortable with the pads either side
8. Build a lightbar
9.source glove box door
10. hammerite the underneath
11. repaint the wheels
12. Eventually knock out all the dents, fill and respray over them
13. source a new face for the cd as although it works it doesnt show what radio station im listening
So a fare few bits and pieces to keep me going and to complete before I pass my test
Had a sneaky drive round the block today, i had grin from ear to ear
