I will be giving up on a well over 2k build over a starter motor!

I have built a few trucks in my time but never ever have i had such a problem! I have gone through 4 starters taken the engine out twice! and replaced 3 fly wheels!

Its almost got me beat! I just dont know what to try next!

If any one is genuinly intrested i want at least 1700 or would split 37" brand new cost 1k and been no were! £700 full float axle kit 255 brand new again been no were! all the parts inc calipers new disk ect for rear! 1.6 vitara lump again BEEN NO WERE! lol box of starters two spare doors loads of my hard work ect ect 1700 cash and its gone!

don't give it up well if u do u will get more money if u break it

What starter motors are you using? What exactly is it doing?

Did you use an adapter plate in the end or not? Of not did you fit the small spacer plate between the engine and gearbox?

If you were a bit closer I would pop up and have a look

thanks mate.

ye used a plate. I have tried bosch ones they bolt in ok and i have tried rotatin them both ways. Its spinning over well then it starts crunching afer a few canks then i have to un bolt it all refit it and it will spin over a few times again.

its got me so mad today lol. having a beer now and chilling. just so frustrating when its such a simple thing!

Thinking i might get rhino rays to take a look at it? because i keep chucking money at it without any results. starter motors coming out my ears at 50 a go!

That's a long old haul down to rays! Would be easier to bring it to me matey, I'm in corsham, Wiltshire.

have you tried the starter without the convertion plate?
motor burning out or teeth grinding?
