The next challenge isn't for a while, so got a couple of play days coming up. Be some testing for the rear winch :)

Love this truck, dents are cool. Like scars, there's always a good story behind them!!

I've still got spring wrap issues, need to sort this out Next, I might have the the top two leafs clipped together by a leaf spring company in Portsmouth.

At the moment the top leaf takes all the load, that how the last one bent.

I am in between jobs so this is all a long way of sobering done, it's usable as it is but I don't want to Dian other challenge until I've sorted this problem, I can see another set of ome springs being killed otherwise.

I destroyed my rear springs with axle wrap too.

I haven't done this yet, but think I will. I really like the one Scottie pointed out.

Have a look.

I'm sure it will help.

SPOA does have a reputation for eating leafs.

Bam bar all the way, Mike. Done right, it won't affect your articulation, and it will help control wheel hop and put power to the ground more efficiently.

No you don't get what's happening.

It's not axle wrap, it's spring wrap. The spring is being pushed back whilst winching. All I need to do is make the spring a bit stronger and job done. Mine doesn't axle wrap.

drop the spring mounts down however much lift you have, and use standart springs. problem solved :cowboy::

That still wouldn't help. With winching hard you push the axle back.
This is the problem not axle wrap, it's just that the axle is forced back and there isn't a great deal to stop the leaf from folding itself up.

I clearly understand what you are saying. what I was thinking, if you have standard springs, the force would be more parallel to the spring due to decreased arc in the spring, and therefore have lesser chance of bending them, but you would lose vital lift doing this, so it would be impractical. it does seem like clipped leafs seem like the best solution, or simply get a thicker top leaf, which is really the same thing. I was just wondering how much this would decrease your articulation? it's not like you have the option of not doing it, but I'm just interested what other effect's it's going to have.

Are we on about the front or rear leaf springs here mike?
