Well spent today under my SJ with a wire brush and a drill. Horrible job, but i am now ready to paint on my mixture of used engine oil, tetraschutz and whatever other horrible stuff I can find to protect it.
There will be no rotting while I have it on the road!

You've been busy, not 100% sure on the look of the bonnet bulge but it does the job
Good luck with the undersealing, it can be a messy job at the best of times

I'm glad my body is off for me to do mine

Yep, sorting everything out before uni/winter.
Got half way through undersealing this evening.
Will finish it tomorrow. Takes ages brush painting it but could not be bothered to wait. Nipping over to a friends house to borrow a spray gun to spray engine oil everywhere I cannot get to and its done
Then time for the next job whatever that maybe...

Almost there, i currently look like a Dalmatian, but its time for dinner. Its looking pretty underneath now. Just to finish the front chassis, do the engine bay and the rear cross member and im done.
Least under the gearbox and transfer box is done.

Hello,
Been busy at uni, so not had a lot of time to update on that I've been doing, so here is the updates:
Front and Rear leaf springs changed
Transfer box changed (no more horrible whining noise)
Whole thing is under sealed
Handbrake cable changed
New rear brake cylinders + shoes
Tyre changed
New gear selector bolt made and fitted (has a bit of play but does the job)
Heater working (well kind of)
Think that's about it since September.
Next job: Rear wheel bearing. Currently waiting for a friend of mine to come back from holiday to use his press. Hopefully I have the right bearing. I assume theres no difference between a Jap 413, and a Spanish 413 rear wheel bearing.
I seem to be burning a fair amount of oil on the over run. Anyone have any ideas for this? Might just have to change engine and at the same time gear box in a few years.
