It will look ace with my 5 spoke alloys. Need a bit of a polish to get them back to their former glory though.

I'm liking the thread...
Sounds like u have similar ideas to my LWB plans, I'm also trying to decide weather to virtual lift or not, though probably yes if I decide on YJ SPUA...
Looks like you have some work on your hands with those panels though, think I've been really lucky with mine (though I'm yet to look under the carpets...)
Also trying to decide on 1.3 for now or go straight to the 1.6 as mine went and I just got one of each (thanks dunnin
)
So yeah, just drove mine to death, need new engine and suspension, so my LWB project is a go now! and I'll be keeping my eye on yours too
good luck!

Cheers matey
I'm going to get a good body to chop up for panels for this one now.
it is on hold for a few months as I've just bought a beetle to sort out so there might not be any updates for a while, however ill prob still be doing little bits here and there on the Lwb while doing the bug so you never know

Right I'm not sure what way to go with this now, but it's getting done before the bug
as it will cost less! I'd quite like it slammed but its more practical if I still have 4x4 and a bit of ground clearance (plus I've got my bug now for lowness)
Question is,
1. Do I restore it to standard and run smaller tyres = More cost and it will take longer to find body parts
2.Do I just virtual lift it and throw my wide 33s on as I have my other 33s for the SWB. = no cost just time and it'll get done a lot quicker! The body is pretty shot anyway! I will have to address gearing but I can just use the rock lobster off my doubler and refit a 410 Tbox to the back of that.
I'm thinking option 2!
