I use my sills and bumpers to support it.
Axles stand only go so high, as do jacks so i have rail sleeper chunks to build it up.

My sills are standard as is my bumper so it had to be on the chassis, damn leaf springs are always in the way!
I did notice the new u bolts are great and everything but they don't have the same 'fine' pitch thread as the old ones, has anyone had issues with the nylocs pulling the threads off? also I had to cut the excess threads off the U bolts Im assuming the new u-bolts are BZP would it be worth me putting some paint or something on the bit I have cut to stop it rusting?

I never painted mine. Rusty colour just makes it all blend in.

Cheers Tom I didn't take any pictures of my fantastic drivers & passengers side windows though! In fact I didn't even start it up, probably should do and maybe some more up-to-date pictures so you can see how much added 'shabby chic' has been added since last time!

Yeah plans I'd love an MOT but I just can't see it happen any time soon I' just don't have enough time! maybe when yours is finished you can come around and do mine? I'll mash tea and I'm happy to talk zooks whilst you work
mine still needs hub rebuild kits, king pins doing (i can manage that) and welding - my nemisis, because I'm not very good at it! also my steering box is leaking oil (is that an MOT fail?) I have a replacement but I need to swap my calmini drop pitman arm from my existing box but don't want to have to use a blow torch on it as that's what I think damaged the seal on my currently fitted box

dont think the oil leak would be a fail Luke, more an advisory. good to see you getting on and having a tinker with it

Big ass socket, pref 3/4" drive for the pitman arm. I destroyed a couple of 1/2" drive sockets and bars doing a one.
Welding is my nemesis too, but i get by.
