Another new thread by me. I'm on a roll.

Got my tank, sender and 5 speed gearbox from a chap named Scott in Chesterfield on Saturday.

I've been cleaning up the tank and painting it today. One thing that has sprung to mind is what holds the sender in the tank?

Looks like there should be a clip or something. If there is, with a bit of luck it'll be on the other tank that's still on my truck.

I thought it should have been a twist fit, but it doesn't twist. It just slots in. Am I missing something?

Ah yeah you must be missing the bit that twists to lock it in, sorry I forgot it was a separate ring, have you got the rubber seal as well.

Nope. All I have is what you see in the photos: tank and sender. I'm pretty sure mine is the same type, not the bolt in one, so I should be able to get the bits off of it, but if not would someone on here be able to supply me with them because if I don't have the same one on my truck I won't be able to put it back together.

Does anyone have a picture of the parts I'm missing, please?

Beneath you current one there will be a rubber seal. On-top of it goes a locking ring.

Mines a bit bent as me and it don't get along! :pissed:

When i swapped tanks, i welded mine in, broke the ring getting the sender off.

Looking good edd, when are you fitting the box, there are a few things you can do to make you life a lot easier when taking it out! cut a grouve/half moon etc in the front of the mounting plate (chassis) so so much easier.

Okay, well I definitely did not get the rubber seal and locking ring with the tank. Don't suppose anyone has some lying around doing nothing that I could purchase?

If not, the rubber seal I can probably find something to do the job, the locking ring I'm not sure. I don't really want to weld it.
