you don't need a reverse light. had this conversation with the tester at my work already. you do need a numberplate light tho...

The number plate light comes from the rear lights. The lights on it are off a trailer bored. Its only going in tomorrow to have the carb set up along with the timing.

I have an update. turns out a reverse light isn't tested on the mot BUT it's a legal requirement to have one. so you get your mot, leave the test centre and get tugged by the 5-0  I'll never understand the laws if the road

Well i dropped her off at the garage today. They where surprised to see it in all its glory

After getting parts from then every week for 2 months, they said it was nice to see the end product (ish  )

The Handbrake cable adaptor kits came today from Muddyzook. This enables the sj cables to be used with rover 600 callipers.

Well its back from the garage.

They told me they would do me a free mot

So i popped up there, and braced myself.

It did fail on a number of things...

- Water leak
-o/s mirror
- No rear fog
- No rear side lights
- 1 front side light
- Number plate lights (linked inot the rear side lights)
-Brake pipes un supported #
- Handbrake not connected
-No battery clamp
- 1 exhaust hanger missing.

So i dont think that its too bad! Im just about to pop the handbrake set up on, put some new bulbs in the lights, fab up some sort of battery clamp and get to work with the cable ties on the brake lines

So She should pass very soon

well henry,,,, not to bad!. should have it fixed by end off the week... unlike mine??, itook the dash right out, because off the wireing (its cut, joined, half off it is missing).. when i had the dash out i noticed the heater motor seized and the air box is full of silt. (due to driving in quarry lakes, up to the windscreen). brake servo bolts broke off, etc etc.. at the moment changing all the brake pipes, and tommorow when i get the axles back in, i have to weld up the transfer box mount, as its ripped of the chassis,,. somehow i dont think mine will be done by the end off the week.. shame really as were meant to be doing a punch challange at night.
andy.. ill let you know about the roof, as ive someone intrested in the truck, but they dont whant a white top..

Its still a long way off, managed to get the handbrake all sorted, and got that sender put in. Hope it holds, as the ally is soft!

Ive just had no time, i wanted to get the lot done today, but sadly its been sunny, and everyone has been wanting drivers now that they have got into the oats!

Might just take it to the garage and be done with it
