Think I might go for Siberian Larch for the cladding. Hardest of the softwoods and very high in natural oils/resin so requires no protection.

Then again when I actually work out exactly what I need and get a quote I might change my mind!

When you work out the cost it'll be wickes best and creosote.

When i did all my floor boards and joists downstairs it was over a grand just in timber.

if you do use creosote mix it with old engine oil as it lasts so much longer! ;)

Got the base done earlier and rewarded myself with a boat cruise with a few ciders. :D

Just cleaned off the overspill but its a bit dark for a photo and I'm knackered and need food!

Still need to have a good tidy up but the shuttering is off and its cured brilliantly.
