After play time and a good wash. Then having a few days off I decorated the front room then decided to clean, paint, add stickers and wheel arches to the car. Also bonnet Checker plate.
I did a virtual lift on the front 1st (easy way to remove the rust)

After my hard work, I am sorry to say i need to scrap the car, The rust bug has hit it in a bad why and I can't justify the cost of the welding,
Inner and outer sills both sides, at least 2 body mounts, the thick bar at back by fuel tank has broken away on one side.

It won't go to waste. most of the parts will be recycled, some will be used on 'Ermintrude'. yep that's what the new one is being called.
The rest will be sold.

Ermintrude has already got a cab conversion using a tin top rear door, along with an exhaust stack.
Rust just found 1 piece in the boot.
As a 2" lift already.
Needs a bit of a tidy up.

Plans use my GV springs with spacers giving 3" lift, diff drop brackets, prop spacer, 107 rear shocks,
rear axle spacer and prop spacer.
I already have the above so need to find a free weekend or few eves to fit.

I will start a new thread soon with progress and photos

That's a real shame! You can't help it if the rust cancer takes your Vit, but that's a real shame - it's a really nice Vit.
