Trust me it's not an easy decision, I've been thinking about it on and off for a while. I really don't want to have to get rid of it but I've enjoyed it for 7 years so maybe it's time for someone else to! I'm sure they wont be disappointed it's a capable little beastie.

You are welcome up any time matey! anyone is! :doublethumbs:

You can't sell it Scottie! It's a beast, if you do I hope it goes to a good home...

There are some maintenance type things I'm thinking about doing such as removing the body and the cage, blast back all the paint and tidy up any patches that need welding then fit new doors and re-paint it matt black, followed by a generous coating of underseal etc Then re-seat the cage for a better fit and stronger front pick-ups. I'm also planning to do something about my front suspension as my rear has a lot more articulation than the front.

I'm also really hoping that Rustoleum start selling "NeverWet" here here in the UK so I can coat the inside of my truck and every electrical component in it.

For further mods I'm really tempted to do away with my front wings/arches etc and build a tubular front end but not sure yet.

If I've got any pocket money left after that then maybe a rocklobster too. :doublethumbs:

just hoping to get the welding finished, paint it all, and get it going, get it re-vinned, and use it on the road, and do some offroading!

3"X2" rock sliders done last week end.

Tomorrow, fix radio wiring as it keeps cutting out. Fit 6x9's in the rear. Fit and wire up front spots. Fit snorkel and plan hoe to run air ducting across engine bay. Fit new rear shocks. Start on making heavy duty rear bumper.

For the future, make and fit external cage (any tips welcome). Fit bucket seats, More lights, etc, etc, and finally use it!!

I need to get some more work done on my house and get the boiler moved so I can put a door on the garage. I'm thinking of doing some engine mods on the Vit, I also want to get the SJ413K moved from storage so I can get started on restoring that. I may also have a PTO coming from Finland so I will look at fitting that to the Blitz.

My plan is, and will remain until either I have actually done it or I have been forced to sell my 410, to restore my 410 to a car-show worthy state and start taking the old girl local shows, educating the masses in the ways of the Samurai...and 410s and 413s. How the bad press they got for instability was wrong in particular.

I also have a plan for another couple of Zooks in the future if I find myself in a position with places to store them and can afford to build them.

I'd like to get a Samurai, ideally one with a completely fucked body beyond restoration but the chassis and drivetrain is in decent working order. Get myself a Scamp Rowfant body for it, along with a duplicate of Twiss's 16v G16 carb engine and whichever gearbox has a higher final ratio Samurai or Vitara, only I'd like to fit either four bike carbs or a pair of Weber twins and a high flow exhaust to match. I reckon it'd be looking at maybe 140hp on a good day and I reckon the weight would drop quite a bit from the standard SJ body so hopefully a power to weight ratio of 200+hp/ton

The other thing I'd really like to do would be to shoehorn a 2.0 V6 from a Vitara LWB into a SWB soft top and make it look like the Gorillaz 'Geep', meaning carve up the arches to make some big dune buggy type arches, smooth over the front and rear, custom lights all round, custom exhaust tail, fit a roll hoop, get some deep dish (negative offset) wheels and paint it up in two tone green camo.

I'm guessing Ed-weird makes sense right about now.
