im starting to think that any discovery is a pile of crap mate... sounds about right then for landrover electrics, i have had live wires all over the place i have found some with out even tape over to protect them :shock:

dont blame you mate put it this way i am NEVER building a discovery again it has caused me nothing but problems and i havent even got it out in the mud yet... :shock:

On a Zuk its usually the clutch cable that melts when the earth strap fails.

hahah backup earth cable of sorts.... never had it myself but i imagine a hot clutch cable is a good warning sign ;)

Right... "new" starter motor stripped down cleaned bench tested works spot on :)

But the starter motor in the zuk and now we have the same "whurring" noise we had to start with :( ant ideas? -\

engine turning over? or is the noise the starter? if its the starter, have you checked the flywheel for damage?
