Yeah controlled quality and will be the right quantity.

If I mix it myself I will have to guess how many bags I need etc. Then there will be variaton between mixes.

They can put reinforcing fibres in it for an extra £10 too so literally just need to finish making the shuttering and get them round. No messing.

Sounds like a plan. Worth the extra cost for the guaranteed quality in my opinion. Your only worry then is the drying.

Looks like you've been pretty busy on the quiet getting it all dug out and ready for the base.

Just done bits here and there. Spent as much time generally sorting the garden as I have actually doing shed stuff.

a fellow neighbour had ready mix and because the dozey builders werent waiting in the street with the wheel barrow the cement truck decide to make a pile of it in the road!. I think they learnt a lesson there!, but all the concrete work we do my dad and mum yes mum!! do it by them selfs as my mum got bought up in a family of building contractors! otherwise looking good more prep work better results! :D

Tom - my mum's been known to mix cement by hand too, when she was younger!

Mum's are made of sterner stuff.

This is at 4 pages and I haven't even laid the base yet!

Just finished off the last of the shuttering apart from adding a few rough cut bits for strength.

Gardening isn't my strong point. Finally got the hedge trimmed back to a brown and twiggy state. Out of the pallets i have i aim to make a half shed type thing against the wall in the bark yard for spares storage.

I now have quite a few "big" spares clogging up the garage. Need them somewhere safeish and dry.

How's heating to be sorted? Right now, if you want to, you can build in some under floor heating ducts for a rocket stove heater. No more cold fingers on winter evenings - just throw a few twigs in the rocket stove and you're good for hours!

Tomorrow there will be concrete. Manned up and paid the £230 to have 2m3 delivered.

Just got it all prepped and ready.

Now its time to spend a fortune on wood!
