Not too unusual. Saw one years ago at truckfest. Zuk chassis, mini top, 3.5 V8 inside. I'll try and dig the photos out.

unusual doesnt mean unique :P
there is actually a website dedicated to 4x4 classic minis on suzuki chassis but it not a normal thing to do.
and yes half the engine is in the footwells :hahaha:

Scottie from HPOC's son had a 410 with a mini body on it. Scottie helped him work on it, although I don't think they did the actual body swap, just bought it as an unfinished project, got it going, MOT'd it and sold it on.

Anyhow, definately a project I'll be watching.

BTW - what're you doing with the old body?

I'm going to be putting my SJ back on the road, and once it's through the MOT, I want to try to get a Jago Geep body to fit.

I would like to make a GRP replica of an SJ floorpan and bond that with the Geep body. That way the body should become a (more or less) bolt on replacement.

Obviously there will be need of a 6 point cage so I don't die as much in a crash/roll, but that's my plan for a rebody.

If you lived closer, I might have been tempted to buy the floorpan off ya, just to make a mould without having to remove my body.

Anyhow, superb work thusfar, gonna be awesome!
