There has to be another underlying problem if your headgasket has gone again, has the head been checked for warpage and machined if needed? could perhaps be a hairline crack in the head so has it been pressure checked? head gaskets shouldn't juts go like that, even the cheap ones on ebay! I've never had any issues with the gaskets from the gasket shop on ebay and I've used a few.

Just been to see the guy who did it before, and the time before. Turns out he never pressure tested it. He has a few theories as to why it keeps going. 1. been skimmed too much and head bolts not putting enough pressure on. 2. hairline crack in head. 3. cracked block.
He's offered to do a pressure test and investigate for free. But I think that's only 'cause he's curious.
I reckon a new engine is in the pipe line. Just have to decide what. A few guys I know keep suggesting a diesel conversion. But I think of I do change the engine I'll probably go for a vit 1600.

Only problem now is that it'll be a push to be ready for Suzuki Day 2012.

Just been looking at vit engines for sale. What's the difference between G16A and G16B?

G16a is 1.6 8V either carbed or SPI depending on age
G16b is 1.6 16V MPI

Hope I'm right

Don't know how much was skimmed, but it's been done twice in my ownership, no idea if it's been done before.
