also, a thing to consider is that cars like corsas etc are expensive for young drivers because everyone has one, and obviouly more kids crash corsas than something "unusual".
example:
i was a named driver on my nans policy, no points crashes etc when i was 18 on a mk3 fiesta, and was paying over £100 a month, got an SJ "samurai sport" and went down to £44 a month. then i sold that and got a pajero when it came up for renewal and was paying £165 a month (car was given to me, rude not to keep it!) with a different insurer, a couple of weeks ago i got a 410 and i'm paying 95 a month.

413 "sport" with one company - £44 a month
410 with another - £95 a month.
so, so wrong! :screwy:
