ahh i see someone has custom made an adapter for the carb. the adapter normally bolts on to where it is welded in your case and there is a gasket here but as yours is welded thats better!

just try a new gasket on the carb to adapter mate :P

cheers

Yeh thats what I thought. I thought that the welded intake adaptor was pretty good. Is this uncommon however.

All pipes etc in the right place?

i dont know about the pipes but if you said the gasket has a bit of fuel around it get that sorted and then try it.
i like the fact it is welded on but it may cause the carb to ice up a bit as its quite long

the adapters are normally like this

yeh i much prefer the adaptor on mine, like the seamless effect.

Did you manage to get your central locking sorted chan??

yeah looks very nice!

yeah all sorted the hose that houses the cables has started to split a bit after a few hours of use so i will have to find something more durable but its so nice when you quickly go down to tescos park up get out start walking and remotely lock it  saves alot time

im just going out to the garage now to fit the radio and speakers and stuff

Yeh well on mine the locks all seem strange and I dont have the key for any of them apart from drivers door, so thought it easiest and cheapest to get a central locking kit so then the locks are then redundant. Im heading down to the car again today, will try and get it going properly, will sort out gasket and stuff too.

Just bought new brake shoes for the rear, so am going to try and fit them myself, got the haynes for a little helping hand hahaha.
