Bumper looks like mine

Should give plenty of tyre clearance and as robbie says you can chop the stock bumper mounts off flush with the chassis
The only winch I ever needed (when not in 4ft of mud at an off road site) was a crappy trailer winch i bought from the friday ad for £20
Been planning to get one for a while, its just nowhere near the top of my priorities!

So by 2 tonne I presume its a 4000lbs winch?
There's a lot more to factor in than just the weight of the car if you are stuck.... the smallest winch I would ever fit is a 6000lb.
Also you need to factor in that the rating for a winch is only for the first layer of rope, for each layer on the drum you loose around 15% of the pulling capacity.
As said it will be ok if you aren't that stuck but if you get really stuck it might not be up for the task, however you could use a pulley block to increase the pulling capacity.

I had a 6000lbs winch on mine. It did the job ok, but I used to use a snatch block with it. The good thing about a 6000lbs is you can say no to bland rovers

Sid James gone but never forgotten
Jimny 1.6 not as good as an SJ but still good

Started looking for 235/75 tyres and I'm getting confused, never bought tyres before and there's so many to chose from idk if they'd be the right one for a sammy or what... Halp

This is what I would go for
https://www.ebay.co.uk/ulk/itm/281869282645 I've been running some maxxis buckshots for 5+ years and they've stil got loads of life left in them. The bighorns aren't too noisy and drive well on road as well as being good in the mud.
Also have a good guarantee against punctures, dan2k punctured an almost new one laning and they replaced it for no cost.

235/75 should all be the approximate same size, it looks like your zook is on standard wheels which are 15" so you want to look for 235/75r15 what tyres do you want? Mud terrain, All terrain or road? Then after the pattern you have to decide if you want remould tyres or not - remoulds are old tyre carcasss with new rubber tread bonded to them, they generally don't have the same speed rating as new tyres but in an SJ that won't really be an issue! But they are cheaper than new tyres! I have remoulds on mine and I find them perfectly adequate, although I do think they wear quicker than 'new' tyres. I suppose it's always a trade off, for me I find it hard to spend a lot of money on something that is consumable and will have to be replaced, but on the other hand I can see why people buy the better tyres,

I would just avoid this tread as they are noisy and not very good off road
and this tread as they are noisy and terrible on the road

Ahh ok that clears things up

thanks for the tips on what tyres will/won't be shit on the road

also you said to look for 235/75/r15's does that mean I can't stick larger rims on? Not that I was planning on it, just curiosity of course
