I had them fitted on my Isuzu Trooper as the alloy rims started to leak mainly due to a small amount of corrosion on the bead, not a massive amount but enough to release a few lbs a week, tubes had been fitted by the garage to stop the problem.

As far as i am also aware its not illegal but tyres fitters dont like doing it due to the extra work involved i would think, but they certainly cured the problems with my old truck with had AT tyres on,i used them for years without any problems what so ever.

cheers for the advice all .... a newer set will be sourced in the very near future, ... just getting fed up with a few delays to getting out and playing in the thing, but I will enjoy when completed.
Just found a bloody hole in the sills also so soon be more weld than metal work. At least MOT till June so a little while in theory till it needs doing BUT will do as soon as I can tho.

painted the coils red before I fitted them (front and rears). the front shocks (replacements) are in good nick, rears need to be upgraded/replaced very soon.

Car has been running quite well, just a couple of little probs when been out. boiled the water one day but no damage, when topped up it ran A1 for the rest of the lanes.
last night i was out, hit 1 or 2 deepish ruts / holes and exhaust parted company just after the cat !!
MMM rather noisy drive home.
Fortunately I have a straight thro' with cherry bomb on the end off the vit I am breaking.
That will do for now until nearer MOT time when I will need to put CAT back on and shorten the straight thro' to fit
