My Amazon is mostly air haha.. but I will take some pictures when I have a chance. Just doing some welding on it at the moment and trying to get rid of a Volvo 480 I bought which was a massive mistake. As soon as the 480 goes then I'm all systems go on getting a Samurai! The Amazon is awesome.. but has been badly restored in the past :( Still cool though!

Is it much more difficult to get hold of a tin top rather than a soft top Samurai?

Cheers

They are less common but still pop up for sale, another option is a soft top with a fibreglass roof.

Is there any articles floating about with price guides and stuff? Been checking the forum and vehicles selling on ebay for ideas but any other information available?

Thanks

It really varies. A rust bucket can go for silly money but a fully kitted and well sorted zook can go for less than you think...look at Scottie's zook. £3000?? Bet it cost him more like £10,000 with all the work that has gone into it. Then again I sold my 413 for almost that and I got the price because it was pretty I guess. Only mods were a winch and 31" tyres. Bit of an odd market really.

Yeah I guess I will just keep looking. I'm just looking for something plain.. the less rust the better! If I do decide to start messing about with it I would like to do it myself even though I know it inevitably ends up costing way more than buying a vehicle already modified.

If you can weld then a rusty one won't be a problem...

Let's just say I doubt I could build mine again as it is for less than £4-5k plus maybe 200 hours in welding and fabrication. If I include the various other mods it's had in the past, the parts that have been replaced and all the repairs etc I don't even want to know how much I've spent on it over the years I've had it

How much are you looking to spend ideally?

I can weld.. I would just rather avoid welding rusty sheet metal if I can help it. Sitting at a bench making nice, square things to go on my newly acquired Samurai sounds like a pleasant pastime. Lying on my already ruined back, on the drive, in the rain, trying to weld mud to rust doesn't sound so much fun if you know what I mean. Already have the Swiss cheese Amazon..

I don't know how much I want to spend. Seemingly Samurais can be picked up pretty cheap but seems to be a mixed bag of how rotten they are. Hypothetically if I were to say £1000, how much Suzuki fun and I going to be able to purchase?

Cheers
