Todays progress has been good. Stopped due to no 14mm drill bit.

Front panel off. Engine and box out.

1600 has flywheel and clutch, inlet manifold, new cam belt, 1300 water rail.

Straight to wickes for a drill bit in the morning. Machine mart to exchange a broken ratchet (thankyou life time guarantee!)

Then get the old steering box out. Possibly put a new tie rod in if i can't get the arm and rod to spit.

The top bolts that go gearbox to engine are 14mm for the vit block. Only 12 (i think) for the SJ block, gear box needs drilling out to let them fit through.

I have noticed quite a lot of new rust and rot on the wings so while its all apart i may get mr angry out to tidy it up. Need to swap the philips head bolts for proper hex head bolts too. Make it easier to undo as and when required.

All things going to plan it'll be done by tomorrow night. Hasn't taken as long as i thought to get it all stripped out.

Think the rad fitting will take the time as it requires a bit of fab work to fit it.
