My Sony Alpha 57 takes 12fps
Mine takes pictures.
There's three ways of doing things:

The right way,
The wrong way
And my way, which is like the wrong way but faster.

I did look at the A57 for a while but ended up looking here and there were only a couple of things the A57 beat the K-R on that I was actually bothered about.

Not really into all that video stuff. Got a handycam for that.

My mate has a Sony Alpha (cant remember which one) and its good. The processing time when we were taking the night shots was rather disapointing though. Mine were just poping straight up once the 30 seconds were up and the shutter closed but his were taking the same time again to process.

I managed to get twice as many shots done and he ended up bored of waiting and playing with a flash gun instead.

Hes now looking at swapping to an A57. Any idea how quickly it processes a long exposure. Guess it will be as instant as mine as the burst speed is usually a good indicator of processing power.

Cheers mate. Will chuck em up later along with some of riding today.

Will have to get a few trucks out for a shoot soon. I love it.

The main reason I chose the A57 was the highest ISO in price range (better quality night shots), but I've got to say the slow processing on slow shutter speed shots is a pain in the arse.

Got to love the flip out screen though, great for shooting over crowds and street photography (covert).

In my opinion the best advantage is that being an SLT (Single Lens Translucent) rather than an SLR (Single Lens Reflex) is that it's all digital, so no optical reflectors, so giving a better idea of what the actual photo will look like while shooting. That's also why it can shoot so fast.

Cool. That flip out screen was a big con for me. I'm the kind of idiot that could snap that off in seconds.

Anyway it clearly does the trick because some off your mtb shots on berms posted on fb are exactly what I would like to shoot.

Bit odd I know but I've just read all the way through my own build thread.

Really makes me appreciate the fact that this winter I will be enjoying it rather than working on it.

Maybe some others with long threads on here should give it a try. :D

I've got power steering, in a box. Bucket seats, in a cupboard. Lifts springs and bump stops in the post.

I don't need to read my thread to know what this winter holds. Lol

It's cold, oily, drafty. Probably will require knuckle skin too.

If I go back and read mine it'll mean I'll have to fix all the broken picture links  That might take me a few days
