it is indeed... technically it shouldn't have the UK plates on it anymore as its on a maltese chassis now... but i haven't bothered to take them off yet
looks like its driveable-ish now so hopefully people wont park in front of the driveway!

Looks beasty! Silly question cause I'm uneducated, why do people use flexy plastic mudguards instead of wide rigid ones? Is it cause they can take a beating and just flex as apprised to cracking?

Sorry mate thought I had already replied to this but I guess not!
I went for this plastic because I often rub the tyres and arches up against things to get through small gaps.
The floppy plastic arches can fold all the way underneath the arch and then come back out again with no damage.
Also... if i do trash them I can just buy some new plastic for a few quid

Have you seen the price of the rigid ones!

Soooo finally got my VRT (Maltese MOT) done...

Failed a couple of weeks ago on emissions (not tested as it was running like a dog), exhaust volume, steering ball joint, number plate lights not working

Chucked on a brand new steering bar, fixed the lights, stuck a baffle in the exhaust and went back down there.

He tested the decibels of the exhaust with the baffle in and then it passed. Then I had to take the baffle out again for the emissions test. (baffle is now on a shelf in the garage until next time lol)
Emissions were way off (10% CO) due to running too rich... but it's as lean as the carb will go so I think theres an issue with the float or the fuel pressure.
Took one of the manifold vacuum port blockages out and got it down to 5.5% but the tester got fed up and passed it anyway lol

Didn't even check the nice steering i spent €90 on!!!

Now to Transport Malta tomorrow to pay the road tax and get my nice metal number plates

Still needs a clean and some bodywork doing but its on the road legally!

That's awesome! Where are you gonna mount the plate when you put a winch in? I want this bumper eventually but that is my only concern haha

I'm hoping that a 9500 Short Drum winch should fit in there behind the plate... but time will tell!
