Sounds good, but will a wrap last if you go down some narrow lanes?
Sid James gone but never forgotten

Re: muddymessers build thread
made a but of progress today
got a load of wire for all my extras stripped out ready to redo it all so it doesnt look like a birds nest, made a new control panel to go in my cubby/clock hole and fits 2 guages 5 switches and a button
then made up a repair panel for where my choke attaches to the dash and put a switch in there ready to be wired up . . . had a bit of a panic though when i thought id screwed it into the wiring loom behind the dash, once i get the switch wired up with a multi plug i'll rivet the panel onto position so theres no chance of the loom catching the screws
also got a new oil filter and spark plugs ready for when i service it and a load of rattle matt on the way ready to get stuck in and get the interior all back together

Re: muddymessers build thread
all radio wires all soldered together and sub/amp/rear speaker wires run to the back, rear carpet, seats and seat belts inplace.
just ordered switches and some 7 core wire for my accessories etc ready to wire up
found a rear diff that a friend has and i'm trying to talk him into selling and have a hub at work in the scrap pile i might be able to rob the studs from for my rear half shaft
with some luck i'll be on the road this month if all goes to plan
but i'll be on road tyres :/

Re: muddymessers build thread
It's alive
Just fitted a new solenoid to my skinny awarded and it fired up first turn of the key
Got my bumpers and rock sliders painted up with pickup bed liner from Halfords
One minor thing that may need attention is that my exhaust is pretty close to my n/s/r damper so I'll be tweaking that a tad and put some more mounts on the exhaust too as it had one rubber mount and one solid mount

Yeah mines only mounted on at the flange and the rear mount haha
Allows it to move about a bit more if you bash it on something, but it wears down the wire manifold gasket faster
If it gives me problems I will weld some brackets onto it

Re: muddymessers build thread
My mot tester would fail it for that twiss, one exhaust mount is not enough .
Muddy if the exhaust doesn't actually touch the damper then I wouldn't worry about it. Good to hear it's running again!
