More done today...

The starter motor came back from the auto electricians..

Then myself and Martin went to the scrap yard to get some calipers. While i was there i stumbled across an ideal electric fan! So i had that too

And all this for the sum of £25!

And i got the other side of the rims sprayed. And they are going to have the tires fitted and balanced on Friday :D

And the engine is in and running

Today has been a good day, as i can finally see what it is going to look like when its finished. :D

But first, i took the brake line off the rear axle last night, popped it into the garage this morning with one of the flexi pipes from the 600 callipers. They have put the right ends on, which means i can now plumb in the rear axle.

I fitted the other side of the callipers, with new brake pads on the rear... All that is left to do, is figure out how to mount the handbrake on the callipers so it all works.

Image

One of the front callipers needed changing, so i did that along with the pads on both sides of the front...
As you can see they are well warn!

I also fitted the electric fan, this is wired into a on off switch. It will remain on all the time (it goes off when the ignition is turned off like the fuel pump) but the switch enables me to turn it off when wading. I may also switch the fuel pump (undecided)

Refitted the painted shocks

And then put the new rubber on....

Sadly still not moving under its own power, ive got a couple of prop UJS to do, but i carnt for the life of me find my cir-clip pliers!

Managed to get 5 mins this evening to tidy up the wiring under the dash.

And pop the front bumper back on.

Noticed that the engine has a slight water leak. I will have to check the hoses to check one isnt weeping. Fingers corssed it isnt new water pump time

Today, myself and Martin, Set about bleeding the brakes.

We had to swap a front calliper, and they all bled up nice. We also fitted the rear propshafts, bled up the PAS, and put the CB back in.

A few pics...

Now with it all working, it went for a bit of a sun bathe. All the exterior work is now done, so this is the finished article =))

I need to pop the doors back on, after ive put the window back on its runners
The softtop needs to go and have a rip welded up, then i think we wont be far away. Im taking it to the garage early part of next week, its due to have the timing set up propperly with a torch, and the carb set up to where it needs to be.
