Gatso or mobile van?
There aren't any permanent cameras along there so it must have been a van or something.

HAHAHAHAHAHA! I've heard of that programme...and how bad it is. To my knowledge I've not been on it. I've never even seen it.

I don't actually live in Scumthorpe, I'd gone over that day to take a friend to an exam and order a PAS cooler for a different friend's Fiesta 'cause his Fez was leaving pink puddles on his drive.

Think he was doing 190 or sommit as stupid on a bike. Claimed he'd lent it out. Dunno how they did it but they found posts on a forum and linked a user name admitting it to him via his PC.

All seemed a bit dramatic to get a speeding conviction.

How about you stop sorting your mates out and get yours done.
Bumper finished? 5 speed in?

The PAS cooler was a five minute job that he paid for. I can barely put fuel in mine at the minute.

Rightly so. Leeds fest is overated, they all are. You pay £200 a ticket and £5 a pint and still get blind drunk and pass out in the sun. Get sunburnt and miss the best bands.

Wagtail will be :rockin:

Gutted mate, ask to see a copy of there calibration certificate for the speedgun used on the day you allegedly got caught! 9 times out of 10 they haven't got one.

I got caught a couple of years ago in the local village at about 8pm on a saterday night in the summer, supposedly doing 40 in a 30, got pulled over, when I ask him if I could see his calibration certificate for the gun he got all aggressive luckily his pso (police support officer) calmed him down, he gave me the ticket and off I went!

When I got the letter through I went against it saying I wasn't speeding, took about 6 months to go through then finally a letter saying I had to go to court!

Arrived at court with my lawyer ready to fight my case, the officer turned up to! When asked to go in to plead my case I was interrupted by the judge saying that the pso had not turned up to court as it was her day off, the paperwork had been lost due to having to go through so many offices, and the calibration certificate didn't exist because the speedgun he was using was not recognised by any of there handbooks!

So I was offered £400 compensation and walked out a happy man. Got a nasty look from the officer though.

Might be worth fighting it! There not always right!

Or you could just take the course!

Clearly the life of a University student has gone to my head and turned me into a street racing lunatic.

I've got a 'Notice of Intended Prosecution' saying they want to 'take proceedings against the driver of the following vehicle: SUZUKI registration number B780LBG for the alleged offence of Excess Speed - 40mph at 16:29 hours on 03/03/2013 at QUEENSWAY, SCUNTHORPE, UNITED KINGDOM. Speed of Vehicle 46mph.

It also came with an information letter that, not in so many words, said that the minimum speed you could be prosecuted for in a 40 limit is 46.
Dude...I had a letter of intended prosecution last year. Apparently doing 34 in a 30. I heard nothing more after that letter. I can only assume they realised what a waste of both my time and the tax payers money it would have been to prosecute. I would suggest 99 out of 100 drivers are doing a few miles an hour over the 30 limit..??..!! so thats a lot of prosecuting needing to be done

Obviously I am that 1 out of a hundred doing exactly 30...I've crashed 15 times over the years whilst looking at the speedo tho...

Take it easy
Paul
