Aarggghhh
I got a new windscreen yesterday of Mike and Paul and today my dad and I fitted it, well we did for about 10 seconds and then it cracked
we're a bit confused how it happened but damn I was pissed off!
On the plus side it's back on it's wheels, has brakes and fresh rear wheel bearings and just won some new kingpin bearings for it on eBay for the grand price of £6.91 for 2
Also spent today cutting the bodged in bulkhead behind the front seats made out of an old tin top door and sorting out the drivers seat mount, that was also bodged in, had crap sliders and was really not very safe. Karis also needed the seat a bit lower so i made a good set of sliders using part of the ones that were on there and some other runners off a spare seat. Then welded some new mounts to the sliders made out of some 1x2" box, the seat only moves how its supposed to now
forwards and backwards when you lift up the lever on the sliders
Plenty left to do but gonna spend a few evenings on it this week!
