Those dials aren't very common I don't think. I found an old thread on difflock with pics of another person who has them and was also having issues finding a sender that reads correctly :er:

My dads is an 88 spanish model and his dials are different and have a rev counter, we're not sure if it has the original ignition system in it though so can't compare.

It always seems to be the spanish models that have oddball parts fitted :er: I think your best bet might be the sender from suzuki even though it's quite pricey.

Hi Guys

Quick update re the temperature sensor. I picked up the one from the main dealer and it works fine. I have attached some pictures of the new one fitted (you will see that it does have a spade connector) and the box that it came in.

Thanks for all your help and advice, I'm sure I will be back asking for your help again as I intend to do more work on the car soon.

Thanks again, cheers Dave

Glad it's all sorted, looks like Spanish ones do use a different sender then as it's imported from Santana in Spain looking at the box for it.

strangely I've only ever seen spade connectors. or is that because I've only ever worked on g13 and g16's

Ive got the same clocks in mine, 1988 santana. After fitting a 1.6 8v vit engine the temp gauge sits very near the top. but the engine and rad seem fine. would it be the resistance in the sender thats the problem? Does anyone know if the 410 one will swap for the vit one before I take it to bits and find they dont swap.
Regards Chris

No vit/1.3 senders are smaller thread than the 410 senders.

I made an adapter to run a 410 sender in the top rad hose to get my standard temp gauge to work still.

If anyone wants the other temperature senders let me know, I don't want anything for them, they're obviously no good for my SJ. They were both purchased through main motor factors for 1988 SJ410.

Pics attached, Cheers Dave

I'd be interested in them if that's ok? Just about to pick up another jap 410 next weekend and will probably use them.
