Are you planning to use it offroad or is a street motor?

I know that everyone builds these up to offroad. This one is just going to be a pavement pounder. Had some extereme heath issues 12 years ago so I'm no longer able to enjoy things I use to do one being off roading. The good thing is I can still build them.

The zuki on 38s is looking real nice, good to see it outside the shop doors for the first time! It looks very well proportioned and actually not that high now it's outside  What has the roof height ended up at?

Not sure if any of our members have noticed but Tan Zuk has already contributed a few write ups to our DIY section so it's a pleasure to have you on board!

Thanks Scott,

You did a good job on getting the speed up on the site on your last overhaul. :hands: Even with the dialup it is not too bad.

I was getting ready to take a few new pics to post on here. It was just to hard to get a good pic with things in the way at the shop. Have been really wanting to see it next to the DD so I made the decision to give it some fresh air and give the shop a cleanig at the same time.

The reason it looks more proportied is because I tried to keep all the mods dimensions as close to equal as I could.

The height is 84"
Width is 83"
Front stretch is 7" by 7" from the fender to the tires
Rear stretch is 6" by 6" by 5" in the rear fender.

This was all done intensionally so it wouldn't look out of sorts.

Good questions and thanks for the extended intro.

How do you get into it?? :hahaha:

That is a good question. I will have to give you a lead in to the answer though. I'm not 20 any more or it wouldn't be any problem always had tall trucks.

When I finally got it up on the 38's which was a task in itself. There was alot of thought on how I was going to get in. Really didn't want a bucket or an odd looking step.

I do fiberglass work as well. While I was making the front valance to cover the front stretch. I decided that running boards would be a good addition and help with the needed extra step and keep some of the tire splash off the sides.

The answer is I use my right foot high on the rear tire and with my hands on the inner door jam. I boost my self up so my left foot is on the running boad. Move my back foot to the running board and I'm in. This also took some time to come up with the proper sequence to get in.

I used the time when I was making the valance to come up with the way to get in.

I also want to thank the others for taking the time for the Welcome in.

:?: If there is interest I may be persuaded to start a build thread :?:

That's an awesome zook you have there, love what you've done to it and its really gonna turn heads!!!

I'd love it if you made a build thread, and I'm sure everyone else would as well!

I also love the bike carbs :)

No worries, appreciate you taking the time to post.

The bike carbs is what got me back into the Zooks again. I had a band new TT in 87 didn’t really care for it that much and shortly got rid of it. There really weren’t any mods to do to them to make them cool back then.

Like I was saying the bike carbs got me interested again. I was lurking on a thread for the bike carbs and didn’t like all the bickering and bad design of the intake. Never posted either because I had something completely different in mind would have caused more bickering.

I bought a Zook and build the intake from a solid piece of 35lbs of 6061 Al. When it was done it weighed in at 8lbs about the same as the stock intake. I decided to build a motor up to accommodate the bike carbs and the 2nd rig that I was putting the 38’s on.

The motor has over 100 HP with the mods. This should get the beast rolling anyway..

Need to get some more people weigh in on the build thread before I start one. This type of novelty Rig tends to make people upset just by looking at it. I also only have dialup and it tends to be a long laborious volume of work to keep up with.

Thanks for your positive thoughts.
