I stopped my Fast today ;)

Thought I'd post some pics of how it's now mounted, It's easier with electric fans as you can pretty much position the rad however you want It.

Note the trimming on the bottom right side to clear the Vit P/S with wedge set up.

I made to brackets for the rubber 'feet' to sit in on the front crossmember

I cut down the old mount on one side to utilize the header tank mount, then fabricated a small bracket off it to mount the the body, I have a feeling there was already a captive nut on this side in the body that I used.

Then made a small bracket for the other side as well, this time I used a Rivnut on the body though.

Looks awefully interesting. I don't think the rad i've bought has mounts with it though.

Cheers for sorting the pics Scottie. They give me an idea of how tight it's going to be. I'm sure out of all the steel i have lying about i can knock something up.

Just a few pictures of mine insperation from this sticky! i did mine a bit different at the top had to trim a bit of the bonnet out of bolt head of the brackets to go through and i got a mate to stick a bit of metal at the bottom and greased and popped the rubbers in, also i didnt have to trim the rad because i forgot you could do it so i moved it off from centre still works though.

Tom, looking at the plate you mounted your two fans on, does the plate not inhibit cooling at all?

Also, what are the fans off?

Cheers,
Geoff

Doesnt really effect it that much to be honest I like my engine to run a bit hotter then standard anyway so you get a bit more oompph out of them

The fans are universal ones of ebay

Mine over cools with standard shroud and viscous fan plus the open front end of the SJ compared to a vit so Scotties will probably be about right and Toms a bit warm.

I dont mind it being a bit overcooled as it gives leaway for when the rad gets full of mud :D

Sounds about right Dan, see when I override the fans you can watch my temp guage drop all the way down and takes ages for it to come back up to temp I think at the end of it its personal choice :)
