Got the speed issues sorted, the air leak was caused by a small hole in the manifold which should have been blanked off when the weber was fitted, did some port matching/smoothing on the manifold and carb adaptor plate, blew carb out, set valve clearances, set ignition timing to 10deg BTDC, fixed a dodgy HT lead, replaced fuel filter, replaced leaking breathers and folded the mirrors in , does mid 60's easily now fast enough to make the roof flap.
