It's my lower plates the have "curled" due to tightening. I think if you add the packers 2mm shorted than the spring height, you might end up just tightening to those, and your spring could be slack. But If you are using 10mm I'm sure that will be fine.

I dunno that I could squash steel with bolts though haha.

But tightening to the packers would be my intent, limit the amount it can curl and stretch.

I'm vigilant of all important bolts anyway.

Cool, didn't know your blue car had clamps.

It did originally but then I swapped axles and went back to Ubolts to save fabrication time. Didn't help that I bent the front axle either

Haha! I hear you.

I don't think I can be bothered doing it again on the front.
I should though.. as I'm in boarding the front springs too.

Makes such a big difference with WT axles and inboarded springs, it's nice to be able to run 33s without limited steering lock.

That was a critical thing for me which pushed me toward NT spacing. I'll never sacrifice steering angle.
I think my next unnecessary venture will be a wider front axle with narrower offset rims to reduce the scrub radius and try and get more steering out of it with a different knuckle...

Wow, you're really doing it right with this build! No corner cutting - I can really respect that.

I'm giving it my best with what I have available under a very tight budget.

Thanks! :weld:

Hi and welcome.

Nice looking low and stable rig.

Loving the amount of pics too. Terrain looks fun where you are.
