The mx5 is definitely a classic.

Any manufacturers tuned version of a car will be come collectable.
But will it really be rare? Not always.

If you have the cash you can go any find a good ford Mexico tomorrow.
But try do that with a base model ford mondeo mk1? Or a mk3 orion?

A factory tune car will always have a enthusiast market but
Any car that reached a value less than scrap will in my eyes
Become a classic. This also goes for any commercial vehicle
As they are a tool an ean into the ground. Mk4 transits are a rare
Sight on the roads now.

Common classics bore the arse off me. But thats my oopinion and
I can always appreciate anyones car.

Triumph stag or Austin princess? . . . Ill take the 4 doors, velour interior and wonky suspension
Please.

There's a problem......it's called "stance" and it's the new craze with all the scene kids and little drifter wannabes.......nearly every mx5 I see nowadays looks like this.

I saw a Mk2 Golf GTI like that the other day...first, how the hell did he do that? And second..isn't it illegal? For a start your tyre patch on the road is not 100% at all.

And Andy has a point too. But he loves anything with 4 wheels lol! Take the Citroen 2CV for example. I had one years ago (stopgap car) and sold it for £150...a while ago there was a mint one on ebay for £13,000. Now you can pick them up for less than a grand...it's a fashion thing with some cars.

As for the Stag/Princess issue I'd rather be Terry Scott than a hairdresser so I'll have the Austin... :hahaha:

This extreme camber crap doesn't compute. Really, if you do that to your car - why????

It looks dumb. It doesn't improve performance. It's the automotive equivalent of the jeans at half mast thing.

I'm getting old, I guess. But I'd rather take an MX5, put a half decent engine in it, and make a track car that looks as close to stock as possible. For my money, sleepers win every time.

There's three ways of doing things:

The right way,
The wrong way
And my way, which is like the wrong way but faster.

If older normal cars are your thing (such as the old escort mexico, mondeos and transits) malta is the place to come ;)
