Yeah you can put astra shocks on, I think mark 2s are the fronts and mark 3s are the back but I could be mistaken.... I'd say best idea is to take a shock off and compare lengths and fitments

I'd put money on that knock being the wheel bearing. Mine did exactly the same thing...up onto a kerb and a clonk noise.

Still think what you say about the front may be the leaves moving around on one and other.

I was reading about leafs sliding on top of each other. All my leafs have surface rust and the issue did happen after going through a lot of water.

I think the rear noise is more explained by leafs as well. Got a feeling the front is steering related though.

Cheers

Just the way you say it happens when you steer lock to lock at low speed or stood still makes me think its leafs.

My Mrs 410 used to do it.

Just went and had another wobble and think... I don't think its the leafs. Cant imagine the noise coming from them. I will check the u bolts though to make sure they are tight. I'm going to make a video of this I think.

For the front I didn't mean lock to lock but literally do left to right as if you are going through a very tight slalom at high speed :) only 1/4 turn each way.. When the steering starts to go from one way to the other there is a dull thud.

Leaves do make some odd noises when they are dry between the leaves. Mine make a bit of a clunk if I bump up a curb at around 5mph and as dan says the leaves can slide across each other while steering.

And no my wheel and kingpin bearings are fine and set to the correct preload
