although mines a 1300cc engine so things will be different (ie. the airfilter, the carb, the jack etc) the lay out should be similar enough

Sorry had to correct you on this one henry!
Only early and spanish 410s have a metal air box, jap ones are plastic.
Welcome to the site angie, has yours got the pipe that runs from the air box to the gap beside the battery if so you can extend that with a solid bit of tube in the middle and use that, well thats what i did.

Mine has had a snorkle fitted, so no air box. i going to take a pic and post it. there is no exhaust manifold cover/sheild, the engine bay looks really bare and muddy!

Ah sorry Scott, the only 410s ive had have had metal air filter boxes.

Someone has had the cover of the manifold. So you wont be able to attach the pipe to anything, or plug it in anywhere else!

Think i've found a manifold cover online, so i'll work out the rest from there, think i better clean the engine bay after seeing lukes clean bay

Lukes Sj is the only one ive seen with a jack cover on it!
And you will have to T into the snorkel once you have fitted the pipe.
And one top tip for mot... the testers dont like picking about in mud, If you give everything a good clean, it always puts you in their good books.
