With that big single disc at the front does it have any form of a fork brace to stop the forks twisting or does it have one built into the front mudguard ?? Twin disc setup's never had that problem,on alot of the early 2 smoke machines you could buy say a after market fork brace from firms like Micron and many others.

I would think the power delievery on such a highly tuned motor like that would like a on/off switch all or nothing and got to be kept on the power band other wise it just dies.

Rick I was raised on strokers...mainly LC's...had the lot. This little nutter kicks in at 9000 and goes like a fucking banshee. I think 115mph is possible. She has a fork brace and the HUGE full float Brembo is more than enough.

And I can't see the manual link!!

Had a pretty good day today bike-wise. The 'lil Kwak's frame is all done and I am sorting out the wheels...basically a damn good polish with Autosol before they go back on. Once she's on 2 wheels again I'll pop the new engine in. Was a cold but dry night so I thought I'd ride Mia home. Fat chance...the starter kicked in but she wouldn't fire up. Had a look on the web and it looks like the battery is dead, they need 6000rpm to burst into life and it was showing 2000. Opened the covers and it was bone dry..filled it with water and left her on a charge. Hope I don't need a new battery as they are a little dear..

Well the battery is fully charged and still she won't fire up. Started taking off the panels to access the engine and I noticed a little clip on the petrol tank...it's hinged! DOH! Took out the plug, seemed fine and it's getting a spark. Changed the crap fuel lines for new and she's getting petrol into the carb...thought there would be a fuel pump but it's gravity fed..but the starter motor only cranks for maybe a second then dies...reckon she needs a new one. That's 2 vehicles now without starters! I replaced the 'bolts' on the fairings with allen ones but I really need the dome shape variety. Oh and a little wire not connected to anything. Hmm. 'lil Kawazonkey coming along lovely. I'm painting the forks gloss black as the chrome there is a little to far gone on one leg.
