Can I kindly ask that everyone does a sun dance at around 3pm every day this week so I can actually get on with something when I get home from work.

Finally get some evening daylight and now its windy and raining every night! :pissed:

That is all for now.

Thanks

Dan

Cheers mate.

I honestly knew nothing before I started this. The best way to learn is the deep end.

Now running all by itself. Battery sat on the drivers front wheel but hey ho.

Needed to give it the complete check before putting the front end on.

Gave the SU a quick tweak and its running like a dream. Starts first time every time.

After putting £20 of fuel in it it would appear the sender has some sort of issue so atleast Ive found out now rather than later.

Got a bit of top coat on the front clip and bonnet.

Not much progress but once its on the truck it will tie a lot of other bits a pieces together.

Think I need to pull my finger out a bit and get it finished

Not a lot has been going on due to poor weather and lazyness.

Front end and bonnet plus seat mounts are painted.

Looks like weve got a decent weekend ahead of us so hope to have the front end fitted and all hooked up by Sunday eve.

Also going to try finish off the bumper if its not too windy to weld outside.

Can then get that painted next week and it will be just the fiddly bits to go.

Two king pin bearings, a brake line, and bolt down the body to the chassis.

Then I need to find some wheel arches and give it a good once over and find all the stuff Ive forgotten.

Got the bumper pretty much done over the weekend but didnt take many photos of it.

Will take some and stick em up when I'm painting it.

Heres a few of the end caps.

Couldn't get the welder to perform that well on the thicker stuff but it did ok.

Then onto todays progress.

Managed to squeeze the front clip and bonnet into my work van to bring it home from my dads.

Image

Then got fighting. It needed quite a bit of twisting, pulling, and pushing to get all the holes to line up. Presumably because the virtual lift was welded with it off the truck.

Really happy with how its turned out. Looks great with the black grille, cant wait to get some black arches on it.

Been reading this thread for a while, amazing work Dan!

Think she looks better with the door off though

What's the final colour going to be?

Cheers

That is the final colour. The paint was free from work :D

Its battleship grey. I was going to combine it with some red trim but as the build has gone on Ive been loving the way it looks with the black more and more.

Need to find some doors to nick the seals out of for Helens 410 as hers are a little tired. So I will probably make some half height jobs in the future.
