A HUGE thanks to Rhinoman...found a rebuilt KE engine on ebay! Exactly the same as my knackered one.

So the new engine should be here tomorrow.

The forks are a little pitted so I'm going over them with 600 grit to see if I can make it a little better..the rear wheel is too far gone but I have found an excellent replacement. Front mudguard is broken...an easy fix.

Still can't understand how a supposedly sealed engine can end up looking like this one...unreal.

Seem to remember rubbing full fat coke onto pitted chrome
Is a cheap trick to get it looking better.

The urban legend is that Coca-Cola use it to decoke the delivery truck engines...

I clean my toilet with Coca-Cola. I pour a bottle down the loo, leave it overnight, and just flush it away in the morning.

Loads of goodies in the post this morning...seat cover from the US, wow that got here FAST, rear indicators, air filter, plug and plug cap, and other bits...plus the engine. The courier who delivered it looked knackered after coming up 2 flights of stairs to my flat...I picked the box up with one hand...not THAT heavy :brows:

So the motor looks in good fettle, it turns over easily, and I took the covers off and all is sparkly inside! A quick clean and a repaint and I'll plonk it in and fire it up (I hope).

I hired a van today and set off for Portsmouth to see a potential buy...satnav took me through quaint little villages and down meandering lanes...all very nice but 70 miles took 2 1/2 hours! So I find the place, a farm in the middle of nowhere, very 'Deliverance' I could almost hear a banjo twanging in the background...I digress.

The owner was a thoroughly nice bloke and a test ride around the farm and readies were handed over. Journey home took an hour as the satnav woke up and took me straight onto the motorway!

Some pics were taken in dim conditions, I'll get better ones tomorrow.

The bodywork is AWFUL, but it has a ton of spare fairings and wheels etc and 6 months MOT. Not sure if I keep it standard and sell it to an eager 17 year old who wants a 115mph 125 or do the dream bike scenario...a Yamaha 350LC engine in it with under the seat expansion pipes a la Ducati 916 which it is a dead replica of. (Same company, Cagiva and Ducati). Kawazonkey2 will be finished first though.
