I wouldn't quite go as far as what edweird said but I'm hoping its going to turn out pretty nice.
Cheers for your comments, I'm enjoying building it, but when other people like it as we'll, that's even better. Still lots to do.
Cheers
Ian

lol
Every build I've seen on here has been great in its own way. I'm just taking my time, mainly cos I haven't got much of it lol.
Right, been doing a bit, not a great deal. Nothing exciting. I'll get. Some pics next time. Too dark
Made a new bracket for the trailer electrics for the tow hitch, as the original one I had crumbled away, oh also wired the new electric socket ready to wire into the lights (when they are done)
I've got the black paint to finish off the rear, but I'll do that another day cos it's so cold and dust about from cutting the floor.
Just got the floor cut for the back so that's in place ready to be bolted on, just not yet because it will be easier to do the wiring ect with it off.
Just perfected the hinges ect so it all shuts properly and doesn't snag on the catches, so these are ready to be painted.
I've ordered a few bits for another plan I've got, but I'll keep that under wraps until its done, lol
And we put together my dads new sand blaster and sandblasting cabinet, which in my opinion he's bought about 2 years to late
.
Until next time
Ian

Hi, bit of a update, been busy lately, but progress is being made.
- Sides finished, but not satained.
- IMG_0138.JPG (1.98 MiB) Viewed 5589 times
- Another pic of the rear
- IMG_0146.JPG (2.3 MiB) Viewed 5589 times
- pic of it outside
- IMG_0150.JPG (1.94 MiB) Viewed 5589 times
- sides stained, cab on and mostly painted apart from the side your looking at. decided to paint it with a brush, came out quite good, there are little bits which need a wet and dry and another coat, where marks in the original paint can be seen, even tho it was sanded down.
- IMG_1154.JPG (1.73 MiB) Viewed 5589 times
- getting there, cab on and bolted in place, outside painted, since this pic, the inside has been cleaned, undercoated and painted.
- IMG_1156.JPG (1.78 MiB) Viewed 5589 times
- finished off the bracket for me new roof lights, only on loose to see what they look like, bracket needs painting, then they go on properly.
- IMG_1164.JPG (1.65 MiB) Viewed 5589 times
- same as above, finished painting inside, ready to put carpet in, then everything else can go in.
- IMG_1165.JPG (1.83 MiB) Viewed 5589 times
- spent the afternoon doing the roof lights and making a rear bumper so i hit that before i bust the lights or some thing. just thought id spruse it up a bit with a led reflector sunk into it
- IMG_1162.JPG (2.01 MiB) Viewed 5589 times
- led thing from different angle
- IMG_1163.JPG (1.96 MiB) Viewed 5589 times
cheers for looking,
Ian

Awesome build. The cab looks spot on too. If i can make space i'd like to strip my KJA down to the chassis. Or even just get it taxed and take it for a drive.
Very tidy work been done all round it bud, bet your well chuffed with how it's looking.

September 2011 I started this, looking back through the photos, I didn't realise how much ive done to it since I first had it, it was a bit of a mess looking back. but just noticed some photos are missing from the beginning of the build and some have lines through them. strange.
now the cabs on it looks a bit more real, if you know what I mean. Im very happy with it so far, looking back at what it was lol
cheers
Ian
