Re: Tims SJ410 Build Project
Entire tail gate is the plan, that sheet is being wrapped around a frame I've made and will be a fixed tail gate. I was just excited to play with the new laser cutter in the workshop (not my workshop sadly)

Re: Tims SJ410 Build Project
Been up to Tims today for some DIY virtual lifting. Made quite a bit of progress until we ran out of gas for my MIG.
Also showed him how to crack the transmission brake drum nut without any fancy tools. He now has a 1.6 to go in, front arches to finish, rear arches to do. So as soon as I have some more free weekend time it'll be back to Scarborough.

Re: Tims SJ410 Build Project
Quick update of recent progress, got the 1.6 fitted, few gaps between the box and block, but will put an adaptor in when funds allow. Fuel pump on order, vitara alternator pulley on order, hand brake shoes and cable replaced, welding on wings complete, just need body filling, rubber arches and respraying (tomorrows job), tail gate all ready for spraying and welding in, inline 410 thermometer sender holder made up, then next few weeks I'll be wiring spraying and putting everything back together!

Re: Tims SJ410 Build Project
Thanks to the wonderful Facebook fairies that helped me for the last few nights with my car I know have a running 1.6 fitted! Still needs rad fitting somehow as its very tall and no mounts are even close to lining up. And the bonnet doesn't shut by a long way.
Radiator done this weekend and get the front end put back together properly, then it will be the back end to fit arches, tail gate, rewire and spray.
All the engine is missing now is some tlc and an alternator!
Will put the rest of the pics up tomorrow as my phone isn't playing ball tonight.
