Hey, my truck had a service the other day. The only things that came back was the tyres are old and apparently I'm not allowed to take passengers in the back until I get rear seatbelts, because even though it never had them it's illegal because it has the mounting points factory fitted. You know what my answer is? Bugger the back seat. There's room in the loft.

The truck's only, ONLY, advisory from it's last MOT was sorted out. New windscreen wiper rubbers, because guess what, the old ones were old.

Thanks. I didn't think there was much wrong with it, but Mum wanted a second opinion, and it came back all clear, even though it was in the guys interests to find stuff to fix. I just need to sort out the wheel arches, because they're rotting under the plastic trim, and get five new tyres because the old Dunlop's are perishing and splitting. It's an SJ thing.

yeah man, I've just done my rear arches. It's very boring and it takes a long time, but by god is it worth it in the end!

What are you gonna do? Just use filler and then sand, sand, sand? or are you going down the welding route?

With the arches I think I'll weld if I can. When I did the holes in the door bottoms I riveted in a steel plate inside the door then filler, but the arches are more visible and more important structurally.

Kinda awkward thing to suggest, but I think it'd be an idea if I stopped hi-jacking Ferris's thread. When I get around to doing something I'll make a thread.

Picked up a 410 transfer box yesterday Many thanks to Parrot for sorting that out for me Put it on earlier, but havent had a chance to try it out yet as my rear diff is toast.
Also replaced one of my rear brake cylinders then checked the other side and that one was also leaking cant belive they both went at the same time.
Then i decided to replace all the breather pipes on my carb. Nearly all of them were damaged or split. Now it seems to be ticking over alot better (no more hunting) .

I also had to make some basic wheel arches to keep the rozzers off my back. There not great, but they do the job.
