Ref the vac advance, I think the only way I will get a vac at WOT is to take the vac from before the carb (I.E - Out of my snorkel). Is this right? I guess the standard airbox must have had a vac hose for the dizzy?

What's the crack with fuel pressure regulator then? Is that just a regular vac from manifold? My pressure reg has 2 take offs.

Just one question. Where did you get the Suzuki ammo box?

Exactly that. Picked the ammo box up on a boot fair years ago, and the badge is the old one from the bonnet. :)
It's a handy box, as the pick up has no safe storage really, other than in the passenger footwell.

First outing in the Zook. Stuffed it in a muddy puddle, sucked a load of water in, cut out, and had to be pulled out by a Barbie Truck (Vitara). DOH!

Truck did really well other than that. Fueling is pretty crap, but I've bought all the bits for a nice snorkel now, so once that's fitted, I'll drop it in for a tune up.

Very impressed though, it's a very capable little truck. Long term, bigger tyres really will help things.

Anything without a snorkel would of cut out to be fair, unless it has about a 10" lift!
It was just the drop into the water which submerged the entire engine.
Bobb took it real easy in his Vitara though, as it's his daily. Because I've got the Transit, I like to stick the SJ through it's paces. haha

I think it did, but only enough to cut it out, I.E, the first splash.
I didnt try to start it again until it had been dragged right out. Gave it a flick of the keys to make sure the bores were free, then fired it up. Went after a bit of cranking, and ran boggy for a few hours until the filter dried out.
Runs perfect again now. Really need this snorkel fitted before next outing. Will also be replacing the fan with a leccy one.

Just bought myself a universal radiator fan. Will get that fitted up with the snorkel, bit of marine grease around the electrics, and try that bomb hole again! :p
