It's from a Swift GS engine.
After a bit of research last night, apparently they are quite rare cars?
I pulled the whole engine and loom etc out of one.

Found this online, but not a very clear picture:

I have a SJ413 manifold and carb in the garage too. It came with my other engine I bought, but after stripping that engine to find it was completely fecked, I'm not holding out much hope for the carb. So opted to try and use this one, as it ran perfectly in the Swift.

Did you see if the swift carb fits on the standard manifold?

Did you make a note of the VIN for the Swift? I might have an FSM for it.

No VIN for it unfortunately, I have the reg though so could find it out from that maybe?

Swift carb is single choke, SJ carb is twin choke by the looks of things. So totally different.

Today, I starter the RUF conversion. Eying up rear springs to the front, it looked like they'd go straight on pretty much. Front shackles would have pushed forward a wee bit, but couldn't see much need for relocating the mounts etc.
Started removing the old springs, and got totally stuck on one of the rear hangers. Bolt spings, but will not come out. The inner steel tube, has obviously sized to the bolt, and is spinning inside the bush. So absolutely no chance in hell of getting it out without butchering the whole lot.

While the bush is still good, I decided to leave that, and just chop the rear springs to sit them under the front top spring.

I fitted the two top springs from the rear pack, to the top spring of the front pack, giving 3 leafs in total, either side.
Could probably squeeze a 4th on there with the threads left, but it started to rain, so left it at that.

Need to lift the rear a bit now too, as it's sitting high up front. I think a set of new rear springs will sort that out though.

I am also hoping the front springs will settle, and sit together, as there as a gap at the front of each upper leaf atm.

Vin number is also on the outside of the o/s chassis rail in front of the front shock mounts, that's I it hasn't been painted to thickly.
