I just thought I'd update, On thursday last week 11/8/11 I was discharged from orthopedic clinic, They said my bone is developing healithily and although it is still healing there is no point going for check ups because everything has been straight forward They took some x-rays
my upper leg and knee (from the side)
my hip
and my lower leg,
Everything is going well really, I still walk with a limp and will do forever although its no where near a big a limp as it was, tbh I don't even realize I'm doing it now, My insurance have set me up with some insoles which make walking easier (i just leave them in my work boots) and I have some basket ball trainers which have stiff sole and help with my big toe which I can curl but can't straighten! - I wouldn't believe how awkward it makes slipping on trainers! They hospital said I will still need physio for the next year or so, so I may be able to improve but It won't improve considerably more. Although this was a really nasty accident I'm really lucky to have got as much function back as I have, the things I have trouble with now are crawling and kneeling, and bending my knee much further than 100 degrees (so it makes going on rides at alton towers difficult and squeezing into small seating - like in churches and car back seats) but I'm really grateful for what i have, I have an assessment in december for functionality for the claim when I should get an idea of how much I might get money wise

Congratulations Luke, send my regards to the missus!
Just think in a few years you'll have a few more (little) hands to help work on the SJ. And an excuse to buy another one or two to restore for their first cars

Update time? well, I have nothing to add really! the claim is still ongoing My leg still looks funny and is a little wonky but thats about it, I have a little girl now, we call her Scarlett .Those of you who are friends with me on facebook will know that already - my missus taggs me in enough photos! My SJ is still where I left it last in the garage, my big idea of spending claim money on it is still to come into fruition and very little has happened!
boring update or what? - I may have to go back through this and repopulate some pictures
